About this project
Mangakahia Area School provides one device per senior student (Years 7–13), used only at school. Many of these Chromebooks are ageing, and repairs, downtime and failing batteries put growing pressure on the school’s systems and budget. In the primary area, students share a very small pool of devices.
The requested devices would:
- replace older Chromebooks in circulation
- meet the specs senior students need for NCEA coursework, research and digital submissions
- reduce maintenance pressure on existing devices
- extend 1:1 access into the primary area
- let students take devices home for homework
